The National Cancer Symposium (NCS), born out of a collaborative effort between the Uganda Cancer Society (UCS) and the Uganda Cancer Institute (UCI), is set to make waves once again. With the resonating slogan, “Together for Greater Impact,” the NCS is a platform designed to foster a systematic and impactful response to the cancer epidemic in Uganda through a multi-sectorial approach.
This year’s NCS, scheduled for 7th December 2023 at the Imperial Royale Hotel, holds a crucial objective: to garner increased political will from policymakers for the adoption of the Uganda National Cancer Control Plan. The symposium serves as a pivotal space where stakeholders come together to discuss progress, address challenges, and strategize the way forward in implementing the Uganda National Cancer Control Plan(UNCCP).
