Volunteer

Volunteering is an act of heroism on a grand scale. And it matters profoundly. It does more than help people beat the odds; it changes the odds.” -Former President Bill Clinton

UCS is driven by volunteers who are committed to creating a viable, flourishing “Partnership and coordination environment”. Unless specifically stated, a “volunteer” is an individual who performs their specified job description willingly at the direction of UCS without expecting compensation. Without community support and active volunteerism, UCS would not be as successful as it is today and as such accepts and encourages volunteer involvement at all levels of the organization. Unless specifically stated, a “volunteer” is an individual who performs their specified job description willingly at the direction of UCS without expecting compensation. To this end, UCS has put in place a system and detailed procedures for handling volunteer entry, stay and exit with terms and conditions which govern the relations between Volunteers and organisation. For further information on this, please refer to our volunteer guidelines.
