Ms. Patience Asiimwe is a Statistician with an Honors Degree in Business statistics. She is the Resource Mobilization Officer of the Uganda Cancer Society; a position she has held from 2017. During her time, she led the establishment of UCS’ fundraising arm starting with developing of the organisation’s  first ever Resource Mobilisation Strategy alongside other supporting tools. She has furthered her expertise in this  eld through several fundraising trainings and sessions by organizations like the International Fundraising Congress. Ms. Patience is passionate about promoting patients’ rights and has completed courses in advocacy and patient engagement with the specific focus on increasing access of cancer treatment and supportive services to patients. Prior to this, she worked as an administrator for the Old Budonians Club, as a data entrant at the Parliament of Uganda and as an enumerator with the Uganda Bureau of Statistics.

As a member in Rotary her interest in public health was furthered by staring in the Rotary End Polio Virtual Reality Film Two Drops of Patience. She has written several abstracts, spoken at conferences as well as moderated numerous panels. Ms. Patience actively fundraises for different community projects through her Rotaract Club in the areas of economic empowerment, health and food sustainability.
