Capacity Building Training for Health Worker’s in Mbarara, Sheema & Bushenyi Districts

Uganda Cancer Society strengthens footprint in her capacity building programs during a comprehensive 3 day training of health workers in Mbarara, Sheema & Bushenyi districts. The training was focused on cancer prevention, warning signs, treatment strategies, and emphasis was put on cervical cancer being the most prevalent in Uganda, hence equipping them with skills for early identification and accurate diagnosis. Certificates of participation were distributed, symbolizing the commitment of healthcare workers to continue their efforts in combating cancer and alleviating the suffering of patients. The Uganda Cancer Society’s dedication to promoting cancer awareness and improving the quality of healthcare services shone brightly throughout the three days, leaving an indelible mark on all those involved. The event, held from 24th to 26th October 2023 brought together dedicated health workers from the 3 districts of Mbarara, Sheema & Bushenyi, united by a common goal: to fight cancer effectively and compassionately.
